Would love the ability (if it doesn’t already exist) to upload custom icons to Input. This would be handy for using the joystick dial on the FM / CM2 (which display icons on the screen when used), so that I can match the dial menu icon with a tool icon in an app I’m using. Love your work and the product, Cheers!

Hi, just curious if anyone has used any of the Work Louder products for CAD? Looking at trying to incorporate something like the creator micro 2 into a Fusion 360 workflow but wasn’t sure if it would work well or not. Thanks for any feedback or ideas.

It would be helpful if we were able to create custom groups of actions and multiactions to be able to organize them. At this point i have to hover to figure out if an action is set for mac or windows or app specific. If we could group them(like when you import presets) it would be much easier.

Hello! I just go the creator micro x framer. Love the design and quality!However, I’ve been having some rough time setting up. Probably user error since I just opened the box but would appreciate the help!<ol><li>On input, press to record key wasn’t working so I had to manually search </li><li>Bluetooth connection has been painful. I have MacbookPro and iPad. <ol><li>I would like to switch connection seamlessly. But when either is connected, it won’t disconnect unless i turn off bluetooth of the device. </li><li>After that, when I click “pair” and it shows up as “Accessory” and nothing works. I don’t see the name on the other devices, “Accessory” is not connected.</li><li>I long press for bluetooth mode but it just blinks through 3 lights and back to first layer. </li><li>So I restart the device, and it goes to search mode but pairing is unsuccessful on ipad. “Took too long to connect” </li><li>At this point, the device won’t get out of bluetooth search mode, so I need to restart. Is there a cancel bluetooth search mode button?</li></ol></li><li>Is there a way to change input while on ipad? Hard to set it up for Procreate when I want to finetune the set up when I have to keep having to connect to MBP via wire and bluetooth when bluetooth is not working</li></ol>Thanks for the support!

Terribly disappointed so far. Will Creator Micro 2 will connect via BT to Mac Studio M2 Max but does nothing else. It does nothing when connected with included cable. I can get as far as downloading update but it sits and does nothing and eventually just quits. It's overpriced LED paperweight at this point. I have tried multiple resets and the device will not even charge.

The Input macOS Control Center widget could display the current Layer as a small integer on one cover of the menu icon. The same for the Profile, perhaps that can be a color?

I've set up my Creative Micro 2 by linking specific applications to different layers. This seems to work when my micro is connected to my computer via a USB cable, but when I unplug it, the micro:pad still works, but the layers don't update based on the currently focused app.

Looking for a timeline update on the promised user-sourced preset/layout sharing system for the Creator Micro v2. Would be awesome to open it up to the community soon so people smarter than me can make me a good template for currently unsupported apps. Would be really helpful because the current input software is kind of frustrating to work with when mapping a new app or one that doesn’t already have a Preset included in Input (like music production software or development tooling/IDEs). Also, publish button is not useful to a non-framer dev unless we can run scripts 😉 (ie. open terminal —&gt; ‘pnpm vercel —prod’)

I just got the Creative Creator Micro yesterday and was using it this morning. Around 45 minutes into using it, I was flashing it and it felt like it had an error in the middle of the flash. Now the device cannot be detected.Please advise. Thank you.

WL Team Edit: We are planning to implement an overlay cheat-sheet (similar to what happens to the radial menu), you can trigger with a specific key. It would be incredible to do a higher end version of the Creator Micro where the keys have digital, backlit icons that dynamically change based on the layer you’re on, app you’re in, etc. I would pay extra money for that.To be honest, sometimes I forget what I mapped where on my blank keycaps (I keep them blank because I work within 3 main apps). I would be willing to pay a good amount more for this feature.

Would be awesome to have a way of knowing the battery status directly through Input app and/or through the RGB present in the Framer Creator Micro. Aside from when it’s in bluetooth mode, that forces me to remove the cable &amp; connect wirelessly, I can’t see how much battery the device currently has.

I keep getting the “We need Input monitoring permissions” even though I’ve already provided the correct permissions. I’ve tried with both bluetooth and wired. Idea: Improve ‘Actions’ and ‘Multi’ tabs to allow individual key assignments to be done via the icon grid, rather than selecting from the nested drop down list.The drop down list is ‘hard’ to navigate:<ul><li>Key names are often truncated (shared sentiment with existing feedback posts)</li><li>Drop down list shows 5 selectable keys in view while 10 section labels are always visible —&gt; only 1/3 of the 'rows’ are actionable</li><li>Feels sluggish for the core feature</li></ul> IMO, it would be much easier to select keys from the icon view that’s already used when assigning keys from the ‘Basic’ list to Framer. Just getting to know the keyboard, but some things I'd really like to see after first impressions (I’m on Mac M1 btw).<ol><li>Auto-detect default: I’ve set up a layer to auto-detect on a particular bit of software, but when I exit that software, I'd like the device to reset the layer back to layer 1. I can't see anywhere where this is possible. I have to manually touch the layer select button to go back to layer one. It would be great to be able to select a layer that auto-selects when no auto-detect software has been detected.</li><li>Edit radial button broken?The edit radio button menu is broken in the latest release. In the setup video, you show the ability to add multiple options when using the radio button, but I can't see that menu anywhere.</li><li>Rotate button cycle through different actions: I think I can achieve the same feature with the radial button (if the edit button gets fixed) but I'd love to be able to cycle through a set of actions by rotating the dial. For instance, I'm using Claude code, and I'd like to cycle through a defined set of shortcuts as I rotate, rather than it essentially acting as a repeater for the same key</li><li>Open Software: I'd love to be able to open specific software with a key press!</li><li>Repeated options in modifiers: when I create an action and assign a key, looking into modifiers: Option, Command, Control, and Shift are repeated in the menu. Question is the Creator Micro Figma compatible with Input? I’ve tried on my Mini M4 and a Windows 11 machine and on both it say connect device. Even though the device is connected on both. Am I missing something? Thank you

I received my Framer CM2 a few days ago, and I had been hoping to use the joystick on the CM2 for arrow keys so I wouldn’t have to take up four whole buttons for them, but apparently there is no way to remap the down direction on the joystick. It would be nice if there would be a way to move or get rid of what I’m told is the radial backout option (as an aside: if the device is meant to be displaying some kind of menu when using the joystick, I have not been able to get that to display nor is there any documentation describing this feature or how it works). I saw in the backlog in the discord one of the WL people claimed there would be a way to toggle the joystick between the menu and “joystick mode” but that does not appear to be the case as far as I can tell (unless I’m missing something, again there is no documentation to reference). Personally, I’d appreciate it if there was an option to use the joystick just for regular keystroke inputs without a menu (ideally on press rather than on release in this sort of mode). And also it’d be nice if there was some kind of documentation at all about the features of both the CM2 and Input—I’ve seen the setup video/quickstart guide, but while it looks very nice, I don’t mean to be rude, but it’s wholly inadequate even to introduce the products’ basic features. As I alluded to before, I wouldn’t even know there (maybe? is this even still a thing?) is supposed to be some kind of menu appearing when using the joystick, or what that un-remappable X is meant to represent if I hadn’t been lurking the discord for months for updates on the project.

It is designed solely to gather diagnostic data so we can understand what is preventing the charging cycle from completing. Hi,I was setting up the new device for a bit and tested around in Figma, and the “input” app somehow suddenly not recognizing the device anymore and showing the “No device found Please connect your device” message. Firmware has been updated to v.023 when first connected.Also tried connecting the device via BT but it didn’t show up in the Near By Device section.Please help debug this. Thanks. Btw if user can reset the device to default with the device itself it would be great.

I received my Framer Micro v2 two days ago. At first glance, the build quality was amazing, and I really loved the design. However, my excitement didn't last long.After just 30 minutes of happily mapping keys, the device suddenly became completely unresponsive. I spent about two hours wrestling with it, and eventually had to open up the case to force a hard reboot on the PCB. After struggling for another hour, I finally managed to bring it back to life. (Yay!)But the relief was short-lived. Less than an hour later, it froze again. I rebooted it, it worked for an hour, and then it died again... It has been an endless loop. I've had to hard reboot this device five times in just two days. I think we can agree this is definitely not normal behavior.Just in case it was a connectivity issue, I even purchased two of the highest-quality cables available here in Korea to test it, but the results were exactly the same.This experience has been incredibly stressful. I would like to request an exchange for a fully functional unit or a refund.

I’ve noticed a severe battery drain issue when using my Figma Creator Micro Pro in Bluetooth mode.When the device is fully charged and I switch to Bluetooth, the battery drops from 100% to 1% within a few minutes. I can literally watch the percentage decrease in real time in macOS System Settings. This makes the device essentially unusable in wireless mode.I understand that battery life won’t be unlimited, but I would expect at least a couple of hours on a full charge, not just minutes.To rule out lighting as the cause, I tested two scenarios:<ul><li>Backlight intensity at 50% (my usual setting when plugged in)</li><li>Backlight intensity at 0% </li></ul>In both cases, the battery drained extremely fast with no noticeable difference.I can also see that, when I press the on/off button the rgb lights going from green to yellow shortly after connecting FCM throug bluetooth (and the device was plugged in the entire day to my Mac mini). Creator Micro v2 - Battery Drain Over Bluetooth

Received my (framer) creator micro 2 yesterday and have been setting up. I am inside the input app and have just tried to setup my radial menu on the 2nd layer only to discover that it won’t allow me to do so. The first layer setup was straightforward but when switching to the second layer in input the radial menu disappears and is replaced by a graphic of the joystick. Not sure if I’m missing something here or if this is just a bug but any insight would be greatly appreciated! CM2 - Radial menu 1st layer only?

Ever since I got my Knob 1, I’ve had issue with it. Since it does not seem to charge, its basically a wired keyboard. I was told future firmware updates would fix this, but up until now there’s no improvement.Since the last firmware update (v0.3.1) I also have intermittent issues where there’s a delay for a second or so in my typing. This issue does not present itself when typing on my built in macbook keyboard.I’m super dissatisfied with how poor the quality of the keyboard is for the price, even if it looks awesome.

Even after charging it the entire afternoon, Framer Creator Micro keeps reporting only 1% battery on bluetooth settings page MacOS. It doesn’t seem to update or reflect the actual charge level. When connected through cable can’t see how much battery it has.<s>When I turn the FCM off and back on, I’m unable to reconnect it to my MacBook via Bluetooth. The only way to make it work again is to plug it in until Input recognises it, unplug it, and </s><s>then</s><s> it finally enters pairing mode (first layer light starts to blink slowly). If I hold the capacitive “Framer button,” the layer light starts blinking faster and it pairs successfully. This only works after the plug–unplug sequence.</s>

Creator Micro v2 - Battery Charging Issues

Knob1 stopped working via wireless communication, so I tinkered with it and ended up in the bootloader, which caused problems. Made sure it’s fully charged, which it seems to be.SO far, nothing. It’s dead. Bit at a loss now…guess it’s a paperweight now? :(

Action Icons Not Working

Just got the new creator in over the holiday break. I went to start working this morning, and Input prompted me for an update, so I went ahead and installed the update. Now neither of my WorkLouder products are connecting via cable to Input. It’s frustrating because I am trying to program them.

Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone! So, I’ve run into an issue where my CM 2 stopped connecting to the Input. It’s a a pro version, and my laptop doesn’t recognize the CM, neither wirelessly nor wired. I tried turning it on and off, resetting, rebooting. Reboot button did not appear to do any action at all, while reset seemed to work (light stopped working for a sec), but it did not help me connect the CM to my laptop. I also tried connect via different BLE channels, this haven’t succeeded as well. So, the behavior of the CM is only the first LED of the sensor is turned on, no other light sources turned on.And the input behavior is tries to connect for a few sec, but then shows the “connect device” screen, and this cycle goes for infinity. However, I see the top bar with the WL logo, tabs, notifications icon and CM2 text on a blue rectangle.Input and CM versions attached.Please, help me resolve the issue. The Input App v0.12.2 is installed on a MacBook Pro 14” M1 Max 64GB running MacOS Tahoe 26.2 (latest public beta). Yes, I know, it’s a beta and weird things can happen, but that’s what I’m running at the moment.The Input app keeps cycling through trying to connect to the Creator Micro v2 (CMv2), but failing. This is in a loop. The app does recognise that there is a CMv2 attached, as when I unplug it, the cycling in the Input app stops. Plug it back in, the loop continues.I made sure to go through standard TS steps, such as re-installing it. Deleting it fully and re-installing it. Rebooting the whole machine. Set up another user and check there. Same issue.I did have the app working a couple of days ago and I’ve checked to see if I’ve altered anything or installed anything that could influence it, but looking at my logs, nothing has changed.So, am a bit at a loss now. I recently got a Framer Micro, and it’s a bit of a puzzle without a manual or any setup help.I suppose when you’re buying something to save time, you might not want to spend time figuring out how to use it.
