Layer Light Indicator

Have a CM2 and the XYZ board am I missing something or is there no way to adjust the layer light? At night have the boards go to a nice red light that works really well in the dark without being blinding. Meanwhile the layer indicator doesn’t dim, doesn’t go off nothing. Just this blinding white led that is a very harsh contrast agains the rest of the lighting.

Did I miss something or is this by design? Dimming would be helpful but ideally just having an option to only have them turn on when switching layers would be great! So if I switch the layer it shows me then goes off again after 5 seconds or so… If I’m missing something I’d love to know, otherwise feature request?
