Flat Buttons Option to Give option for Adhesive Guides

First of all, thanks for a great product in development. Overall, the physical and software interfaces are pretty good. The input app could be improved, but I will leave that to others and iterative development. I am using the keypad to streamline my workflow for a CAD application (SketchUp) in conjunction with a 3D Connexion SpaceMouse.

My brain is not good at remembering functions or special key combinations, so the more I can assign common operations to hard buttons, the better. I have programmed such buttons on both the Spacemouse and the Creator Micro. The key array, the knob, and the joystick controller options are good for different functions (nice feature), and the potential for 3 or more modes is also potentially useful, BUT my wee brain starts to hurt when the array of keys might have 3 or more alternatives.

From the attached photo, you can see I have tried to create a visual reference card for CAD work in modes 1 (build) and 2 (visualize).

The ability to replace the keys with generic icons is nice, but has some problems.

• The icon pack I ordered (did not see any better. Is there?) is OK, but not great for CAD work. I expect you will attract CAD users, so a more suitable icon set would be helpful.

• The fixed key icons are only good for 1 mode.

• A workable minimum solution is to permit the user to create their own key tops with suitable icons. This is good for at least one mode and does not rely on interchangeable keytops. Unfortunately, the recessed keys may look and feel better, but using any adhesive reference image does not work well. If it is small, the symbol is small, and if they are larger, then the recess prevents proper adhesion.

Not an existential crisis, no, but it leaves the option of a better CAD key set or a reference page (perhaps illustrate or suggest).

It's a simple, robust device, and we don't want to overcomplicate it, so I guess one user order option (like quiet or click keys) might be a flat-top key suitable for adhesive icons.
