Feature Request for Creator Micro 2 and Input

Hey @PauloF , thanks for the detailed writeup! Here I tried to reply to all of your points.

• Auto updating the layout constantly crashes the connection via bluetooth and makes it cumbersome to customize the Creator Micro 2. It would be nice to have it as an optional feature, so if auto-update is off, you can make all changes first then activate the update so all changes are rolled out on the device.

This should have been fixed in the latest beta, coming in late March.

• Multi Actions is great, but the 250ms tapping term feels too sluggish. Same for hold for 1 second. Please make these times customizable so we can set the speed that works best for each use case.

This is another planned feature. We are experimenting on how it should be integrated in Input but the functionality is already there!

• Add option to import custom icons. Being able to create custom icons the specific software would be amazing, especially on the Radial Menu

ATM this is something a lil more complex that we might consider if there is a strong community support. Feel free to create a dedicated post if you feel it’s very important.

• When choosing the existing Icons, they look unorganized and out of order - please create icon pack groups to match the Action groups for each software, and reorganize them so similar icons like arrows are all next to each other. Also add options to create our own custom Icon groups.

We agree the icon picker could need some love. We have that in our backlog!

• On the Joystick Radial Menu - Add option to remove the x button and instead use it as another shortcut.

Also this is something we are looking into, what we need to address is the UX on how to close it vs. doing an action.

• Also on Joystick - Make it possible to use as directional keys instead of radial menu.

This would be doable when the feature above gets implemented.

• Show battery % on input page. The current way of checking the battery level is a bit borad and unintuitive.

This is planned!

• Add mouse input options for Basic, Actions and Multi - it will massively expand the flexibility of the macros.

This is planned as well!

• Add Support for other international keyboard keys - for example ‘#’ key is missing as a standalone key on the glyphs section.

This is doable by creating an Action, we agree it would be nice to have “ready-made” glyphs. That said, from an implementation standpoint it would require a lot of work, so same applies as the custom icons. Feel free to create a dedicated post if you feel it’s very important.

• When editing Actions or Multi - Add ‘Cancel’ button. Current options are just ’Delete’ or ‘Save and Exit’.
