CM2 - Radial menu 1st layer only?

Received my (framer) creator micro 2 yesterday and have been setting up. I am inside the input app and have just tried to setup my radial menu on the 2nd layer only to discover that it won’t allow me to do so. The first layer setup was straightforward but when switching to the second layer in input the radial menu disappears and is replaced by a graphic of the joystick. Not sure if I’m missing something here or if this is just a bug but any insight would be greatly appreciated! (Also, may be worth noting that when I switch the CM2 to the second layer the joystick is also unresponsive and does not show a radial menu of any type on screen).
